LONDON – So far Graphene has been just a name for scientists but in near feature it could be something direct connected to our life. Currently Graphene is the strongest material in the world but completely flexible, and its amazing skill is more conductive than copper. Discovered just under a decade ago, the supermaterial potentially has some unbelievable applications for us in the not so distant future.

Graphene is pure carbon in the form of a very thin, nearly transparent sheet, one atom thick. It is remarkably strong for its very low weight (100 times stronger than steel) and it conducts heat and electricity with great efficiency.

We could use stuff made from Graphene in our every daily activity, from the possibility to charge a mobile phone in few seconds to exchange one terabit of date in just one second. The most successful Graphene application could be in the medicine field: it could pave the way for bionic devices in living tissues that could be connected directly to your neurons. So people with spinal injuries, for example, could re-learn how to use their limbs.

The Graphene global market worth is about $9 million by 2014 with most of these sales being concentrated in the semiconductor, electronics and battery energy and composites. (A.A)

TEDxAlbertopolis was the first TEDx event held at the Royal Albert Hall, and presented an unparalleled look at the artistic and scientific cultures that flourish within the South Kensington estate, known as Albertopolis, celebrating the ideas, motifs, concepts and philosophies that have thrived within its institutions. A community as diverse as this has produced many world-class scientists, engineers, musicians and artists and now, for the first time ever, the intransient bond between them all was showcased and applauded.

On stage David Braben throughout who has been exploring what is possible to achieve with computer technology. From developments in gaming theory to best practice in teaching Computer Science to children, David has always been at the fore. Dame Sally C Davies recently named one of the top ten most powerful women in the Uk is the Chief Medical Officer for England, guiding the Government on all medical issues, particularly Public Health. John Halpern cryptic crossword setter for The Guardian, The Times, The Financial Times, The Independent and The Daily Telegraph. Nicholas McCarthy (below on pic), born without his right hand, the youngest solo left-handed pianist in the world. Where these spaces were previously without function and purpose, greyworld sought to fill them with imaginative, thought-provoking, magical installations. Since then, greyworld has become a world-renowned artists’ collective, well-known for heralding a new era of public art, primarily about play, and encouraging some form of creative expression in urban spaces that usually exclude or ignore it. Ryan Francois is a foremost authority in the United States and Un ited Kingdom on all authentic jazz dance styles associated with the 1920s, 30s and 40s – especially the Lindy Hop, and his unique and very modern approach to traditional styles of dance are very much in demand.

LONDON - Great news comes from Big G. Google’s just received the planning permission to build its new European Headquarters at King’s Cross, one of the most important London tube station. The new millionaire project called Google KX (ready in 2016) is made by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris and it will be not only a place for developers, gurus, mentors and entrepreneurs but it will become a reference point for everyone wants to improve own knowledge about IT World.

The Big G has already been working in London with its Google London Campus, a co-working space in the heart of East London’s Tech City that’s powered by Google to offer startups the tools they need to succeed: seven floors open to members and residents, five of them are Hub Operation Offices.

Google’s new one million square foot headquarters in King’s Cross – said Allford Hall Monaghan Morris – is composed of a campus within a building that engages with a new yet historical piece of London.

The new building – sited on a 300m (1000ft) tapering plot that rises to the north and is defined by King’s Boulevard – runs near parallel to the railway cutting, connecting Granary Square to the north with Battle Bridge Place to the south.

Sitting upon a retail plinth punctuated by three generous light-filled entrance halls, Google’s new workplace is organised around a looped three-dimensional promenade that wraps its way along, through and up the building’s six to ten office floors, connecting cycling ramps, cores, workstations, major shared amenities, terraces and a large roof garden in an easy and enjoyable journey that encourages encounter. Within the city, the importance of this promenade is clearly expressed in the building’s volumes, articulating a conversation between the world within and the city beyond.
